Here Is How You Can Find & Get A Slot At Your Nearest COVID-19 Vaccination Center In India
Last week, the Indian government opened registers for the Coronavirus vaccine for people aged 18 to 45. Even if you keep an eye on the Cowin website, it’s difficult to locate an available slot due to the high demand.
In light of the crisis, developers around the country have banded together to build applications that enable users to receive email or Telegram updates if an open slot becomes available nearby. We’ve compiled a list of websites and apps to find local vaccine clinics and receive open slot email updates in this post.
Locate The Nearest COVID-19 Vaccination Center From Your Location
-
CoWIN Website
The official CoWIN website is the best place to look for a COVID-19 vaccination center near you. Click the Search button after entering your area’s PIN code (or selecting your state and district) on the website.
When the results are shown, you can choose an available center depending on your age. You should search whether a center has begun vaccines for people over the age of 18 (carried the Age 18+ tag) below the number of open slots, as seen in the image below.
Note: If you haven’t already done so, please read a guide by Beebom on how to enroll for the COVID-19 vaccine in India.
-
Google Search And Google Maps
Using Google Search or Maps to find nearby Coronavirus vaccination centers in India is another choice. To find vaccination centers near you, search for “Covid 19 vaccine” in Google and then turn to the “Where to Get It” page.
You can also use Google Maps to look for vaccination clinics. Code ‘Covid 19 vaccine’ into the search window, and you’ll see local vaccination centers highlighted on a map, much like Google Search.
If you’re between the ages of 18 and 45, bear in mind that you’ll need to register and book slots with CoWIN before attending a center.
-
MyGov WhatsApp Chatbot
In partnership with the Indian government and Jio’s Haptik, WhatsApp has unveiled a chatbot to help users locate the closest vaccination center. You can reach the chatbot by texting “Hi” or “Namaste” to 9013151515 or using this direct connection. However, it took over 10 minutes to answer during my research, probably due to overload.
Submit ‘1′ to get details about Covid vaccine centers as it reacts. Send ‘1′ again in response to the next post and wait for a response.
Then, enter your PIN code to see a list of COVID-19 vaccination centers near you, complete with open slots and age restrictions. Check phase 1 and use the CoWIN website instead, if the chatbot takes a long time to answer.
-
Facebook COVID-19 Vaccine Finder Tool
In India, Facebook’s smartphone app also has a COVID-19 vaccine finder. You will use this to locate the closest vaccine center without having to leave the Facebook app on iOS or Android.
Facebook is making this tool available in 17 languages around the world as part of a vernacular campaign. This functionality can be found in Facebook’s COVID-19 Information Center.
-
Find Slot(For Coronavirus Vaccine In India)
Find Slot is a third-party app that searches for available slots for COVID-19 vaccines in your city using CoWIN’s API. One significant difference with the Find Slot website is the ability to sort search results by age group.
This way, you’ll have no trouble finding the vaccine slot you’re looking for. Since the availability of the slots varies in real-time, you’ll need to rush and book an appointment on the CoWIN website before it’s too late. To book a COVID-19 vaccination slot in India, go to Find Slot.
